Volunteering in SMA - Jovenes Adelante

I've gotten involved in this amazing group over the past month, which supports local high school graduates "first to college" with scholarships, mentors, laptops, financial assistance, counseling services, and a whole range of ongoing support throughout the student's career through university and beyond. The program has been going since 2001 with a great success record, and it is very competitive and merit-based so students enrolled with Jovenes Adelante are extremely motivated and well-supported. I'm doing a mentorship with a young student entering University of Guanajuato in Architecture and Historic Preservation.. A big commitment (3 years) on my part, but looking forward to the experience and growth of my mentee! www.jovenesadelante.org
